    Olympic Protests.

If anyone has been following the Olympic torch relay, you've probably seen the protests. I turned the tv on today and saw that the torch was downtown Vancouver and there were protesters blocking Vetern torch bearers. It turned out that they wouldn't move so they re routed the torch and the Veterns didn't get their chance. What fucking losers, I'm pretty sure they're native Canadians wanting free homes or some shit, they have their right to protest, but have some fucking respect.

They're pissed becuase the province is dumping a shitload of tax dollars into the games during a time of global economic downturn. I can't say I blame them. From what I've been reading, most people in Vancouver aren't too thrilled about them. Any residents here that care to chime in? I don't know the details of the issue with the torch and veterans, but it seems like there would be a more appropriate and respectful way to get their point accross.

I think it's certain groups of people that are offended. Like the ones that can go out every day from 9am-5pm and not protest. Ones that may be are used to hand outs and might expect government housing? Maybe they should find something that would fill their 9-5 time slot.

I don't mind protesters when they do it before the event, when their voice/opinion can actually have an effect. But now, the games are already beginning, anything they do is just going to piss everyone off and not be even remotely productive.

                          They should be shot.
