True. But i keep it in an 1986 container of Grey Poupon, and i feel the prestige is the same.

You know what you should do, is to sandblast the paint off the jar's lid and let it take on a rusty patina. Dijon mustard. Redefined.

I would, but i dont feel right doing that when the Label is a replica.

Lol at the Grey Poupon diversion.

Grey Poupon has white wine in it. The other day I ate a sandwich with it on it, then read the label.

I'm straightedge as hell and I actually felt pretty guilty. :(

I don't see how an e30 is "prestigious".

Fun to drive, relatively comfortable and reliable.

              But e30 =/= prestige.

OH, but it is. When I have Charles, our driver, bring us into town to laugh at the wageworkers, we often go in the E30. Oh how they hustle when Charles presses the grunt pedal whilst nearing a crosswalk. Jolly fun I say. Jolly fun.

when i think of "prestige" i think rolls royce or jag or something like that. bmw has always had a more sporty image... unless its a 7 series. a "prestigious" car is big and flashy in my opinion.
I don't see how some people are bashing e30's in this thread, makes no sense to me.
i've driven e30 through e90. e30 is hands down the best by far, and i get looks everywhere in my area in my car. they're very rare here though. if i had good paint and some RS's I'm sure people would worship my car.

It also removes the ability to judge anything by gauge velocity, as it's now just a number that's changing at an indeterminable rate, which would require looking away from the road for too long to make sense of it.

Heated mirrors, now that I can get into - our minivan has that, and they're warm to the touch at 65. But the average car today turns off the electrical defrosters for you as a courtesy (often after 15min), which I find really annoying when driving in fog/snow/rain.
Yeah, my Daytona had a digital dash. It was a a pain to read at times. Altough i did like the speedo in it. And my Grand National had a digital boost gauge. It was completely usless.

                      I also dislike mazda clusters.

What, I'm supposed to take it that 7krpm and 115mph is "nominal" ?

Driving around at legal speeds / sensible engine speeds would be difficult for me with that dash. It's asking to be driven fast.

and then there's the fact that they wasted 30% of the available gauge real estate. They might as well finish the job, and take it to 10krpm, and 200mph.

                          Those are pretty bad gauges.

I oft hate when Charles confuddles the velocitator for the decceleratrix.

and for those who don't think e30's will have collector car value one day, you're fucking stupid. even the old school escorts are worth gold now if they're the right model IE: 318IS/m3. No offense to the others, but those are the ones that will be worth money in years to come.

this is kind of a stupid argument. The only people who care about my car are other BMW guys, and a 41 year old divorcee at a former apartment complex who wanted something to flirt with me over. (it worked.)
