I don't think that's the argument. I feel like ANY car, in good shape, will hold value some day, to someone. Wasn't a Chevy Nova their economy car? Now they're fucking awesome. But we ARE talking about the present, and value != prestige.

This car may be VALUABLE (to whom, IDK), but this turd will NEVER be prestigious:

No i don't want a prestigious car. prestigious cars are for boring old farts that want something that can heat and massage their ass at the same time.
BMWs are SPORTS cars. theres a huge difference between a sports car and prestigious car imo, but yeah.
I LOVE MY E30 AND I DONT GIVE A FUCK WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK. I think thats the easiest way to sum this up.
Anyone who DRIVES a sorted e30 changes their minds instantly about these cars. I've had many people look at it and like it, but after they drive it it's love. thats what these cars are all about.

Hells no. When I was in undergrad, a girl I knew had a brand new one - a 325iS. At that point, it was prestigous.

Imo, I don't feel it's a prestigious car but I treat it as one. On the other hand I had a e36 318 and didn't give a shit where I parked it haha.
You speak the truth. Same reason I have an e30.

The e30 just has a legacy of it's own. every car manufacturer has had a car where people will always look at a certin year or years of a model and think it's superior over the rest. The e30 to Europe is like the ae86 to the japanease. Not only do they both teach you how to actually drive but, no matter what they're well respected car through out true enthusiest. You can tell through this thread who actually loves these cars and who got one just to have one.
