The alcohol content of "bum wines" is around 13-18%, far higher than wine coolers or malt liquor.

Generally, 12 oz. of bum wine is equal to about 4 - 12 oz. beers.

Why dilute anything? In the end, you drink the whole thing regardless. This way it tastes good.
