You are gonna pay SO much import taxes in Germany and then back in States on return trip that it will be same as buying 3 mint E30s. I am scared to even THINK how much its gonna run you. Not to mention that it will take you around 5 weeks each way (1 week in US customs on the way out, 4 weeks travel time).

I think I'll just fill up a shit load of checked in boxes and crates full of parts for my peugeot & bmw.
Meh..I can roll around in my uncle's 2.5-16 or their plain ass 190e on hubcaps :D
he himself drives a e class, not the latest design, but the one before that. and my aunt drives a e39...i think.
