I also hate glossy frames. Too many reflections. And a bad mold will show right away with wavy reflections. Yurk. I have this year's 42" Samsung with 1080p resolution. The image is not as good as my other Sony Bravia which is 2 years older and with same resolution.

I wonder how brushed stainless look "in the flesh".

I just checked the model. It is in fact a 40" ACL not 42" as I stated. Model number is LN40B540P8F. The image is not as smooth and detailed as the 32" Bravia.

that is most likely true the 540 were mid-to low end model, and the Bravia line starts at the mid and goes to the high end.

this is the front of the TV (marketing picture)

Only in high end models, for now.

We are working towards no bezels at all...

How long until TV manufacturers stop bending over to Copyright associations, and offer an integrated media player? Not just for pictures. But for movies too. Indeed, all TV sets now have two USB connections on top of the usual 3 or even 4 HDMI inputs. HDMI connections are already to an XBox or Playstations, which are very often used to read Dvix movies. So why not integrate the media player directly?

It is an option that costs $5 and will sell $80 extra.

TV could play music, movies, and be the integrated media center.
