I recently started "vaping" as they call it. It's pretty awesome I get my nicotine without the smell, other toxins, and I can smoke while I type this on my computer.

I could see if you were a smoker and not ready to quit, that "vape-ing" would look like an alternative.

But fuck me if I would be the first to try it. 5 years down the road they are going to realize that some aspect of the "vape" causes you gums to fall apart or some shit.

I have two 401 hybrids. I was a heavy smoker, but I used snus to quit; the e-cigs are for occasional at-home use. Vaping is awesome, but you have to be ready for the maintenance an e-cig requires (if you want to keep costs down).

As far as trading one addiction for another, that's not 100% accurate.......same addiction, but a much, much safer delivery method. ;)

It may seem dumb to someone who does not smoke, but for someone who smokes 2+ packs a day, it is an excellent solution to a very harmful and expensive habit.

The vapor contains glycol, which is what is used in many asthma and respiratory inhalers. There are still studies being done as far as long-term effects, but I would say it beats inhaling the thousands of chemicals that enter your lungs when you smoke a cigarette. There is no smell left behind, no teeth stained, no second-hand smoke (first-hand or third-hand, for that matter).
