earthquake in california

I'd like to experience a moderate earthquake.. Not a concrete building crushing type one but, something descent. Would be nice to add to the life resume..

They can be fun sometimes, but I'd rather not experience them at all. They're eerie.

We had a 4.2 scale last week here, I didn't feel shit cuz I was driving my e30 turbo, but my famlly felt it.

This is something to do with the HAARP shit? lol World is getting crazy lately.

Seattle had a big quake in 2001. I was in class at the time. When the shaking started everyone just kinda stopped for a split second, looked around the room at each other, and then quickly got under their desks like were trained to do. I thought it was kinda fun to be honest.

Maybe if were lucky, one of these days Southern California will have a big enough quake that it will break off and sink into the ocean.

I also experienced the Nisqually quake in '01. I was in 8th grade science class and I have to say that it was a pretty cool experience. I just sat in my chair and looked around the room as it happened. It was amazing to see the waves in the tile floor.

The 4.4 that cali got is a very small quake. They happen very frequently. Even that 6.9 or whatever that we had in '01 was minor. Anything 8+ is pretty damn significant.

that may be so, but you have only your selves to blame. Your states reputation has been in the making the last 40 years, and reinforced nearly every time some one form your state opens the mouth hole.

al la: Tom Hanks, Bill Mahre, all your federal Politicians and most of your state one, most all the hollywood types, the list goes on and on.

The only big earthquake to occur recently in the Pac. Rim wasn't on the pacific plate.

I didnt feel this one. I was fast asleep. I did feel the one that was out by Riverside but was far enough away that it was one of those, "did I just feel that" things.

yeah now that you say that, I seem to recall there is a smaller one along the coast of S.A. but you got the point.

I was living in California during the '94 Northridge earthquake. It was scary as hell to wake up to things falling off the shelves and everything shaking. Especially as a kid.

Me too. I was 20 miles from the epicenter and it was pretty crazy. I can't imagine what the people in Chile are going through with a quake that size. They had an aftershock last week that was 7.2!

4.4 is weak.
