This is from two years ago, but since I'm new to the forum, I thought I would come with this little offering. A video I made from my last trip to Europe.

makes sense. Or say if you had a camera, you can always go back and see how fast you actually did it, and see if you improve your time video after video.I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

well, i figure that if they give you a time people will push and push their car until they crash? or maybe they don't want people to practice the lines? I could be completely wrong.I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

They don't allow cameras or timers because both encourage drivers to take risks. They want every driver to drive the cleanest lap they can, not the fastest.
Passing on the left is not frowned upon. Passing on the right is. If you are driving slow in the left lane, hardly anyone will pass you on the right... But you WILL get high-beamed and maybe even honked.
The ring is considered a public road, and you can only pass on the left. Ideally, you wait until the car in front signals right before you pass on left. Since it was my first time on the ring (or any racetrack for that matter), suffice it to say I had my right blinker on almost non-stop!

But in fact, if you're driving on the autobahn in the left lane and not passing anyone, you can get a ticket.
If you're driving on the autobahn and pass someone on the right, you can get a ticket.
I've heard that if you flash your high beams at someone on the autobahn you can get a ticket.
On the Ring, if you pass on the right, and a track marshall see's you, you can get banned for the day.
