The Ds and Rs are never going to find middle ground because their ultimate goal isn't the same. The Republicans are solely concerned with lowering costs of medical care. The Ds are concerned with it as well, but their ultimate goal is to cover every citizen.

I'm in favor of the current bill, however, I am fully in favor of massive tort reform. That being said, it's not going to drastically reduce costs nationwide. The CBO has predicted it will save ~$5.4b/yr over the next ten years... Sounds like a lot until you factor in the $3.2trillion we spent in 2009 alone.
Furthermore, I am in favor of being able to buy insurance accros state lines IFF ("if and only if" for you math nerds), there are minimum standards of coverage established. Ask you physician how much time he or she spends per week justifying treatments to insurance companies.

You should learn to read. I was saying that Republican/Conservatives should drop the "Government take-over" talk and focus on figuring out why this isn't working. The same as the Democrats should stop harping on idiot tea party types and shoving something down America's throat and maybe work something out that works.

And what would you be like after meeting with all the different congress people and reps????? Have you ever talked in public before thousands of people? Maybe he was thinking how no matter what he does there is going to be some nut case who thinks he and his whole family should be shot because he doesn't think the same way.....
And Bush was the beat at making speeches???? Look at his history.. he was a moron who got bailed out by his daddy and his daddy's friends.. Go back and look at the S&L scandal from the eighties.. you will see his and his brothers name all over..
My republican friends, who when I stated that Bushy talked like a non educated moron, told me I should respect the presidential office, not the man... now they are saying the same things about Obama...
I am with Stereo Installer, the problem isn't just the politics, it's the people of this country... All anybody thinks about is themselves.. me me me.. When was the last time you volunteered at a charity???? or at a children's hospital??? that will make you thankfull..
Sorry to rant.. maybe everybody in this country needs to get together and work as a team and not as a republican or a democrat.... Before we end up like a George Orwell novel..
