#2 you think that party politics can help this country. ( all they do it bitch at each other, about how the other is wrong, and meanwhile nothing gets done. )

I've seriously considered it, but strangely I'm still happy here. I've come to terms with the fact that I'll never get any return on my taxes and I've adjusted my lifestyle to function without credit and with minimal banking. I'm just having a hard time understanding how people can't put 2 and 2 together.

Healthcare is a problem due to under funded social programs (that need to die, not recieve more funding), food subsidies, advertising that blatantly targets the poor and a general lack of personal responsibility that I believe is instilled upon people by their schools.

Credit card companies have a strong hold on the lower and middle class and are in the business of keeping people in debt. The idea of "needing" credit is nothing more than a scam that forces you to pay money to further your debt. The republican party has essentially been purchased by insurance lobbyists - some of whom even wrote bills that were passed during the Bush administration.

Lottery, religion, cheap food and the promotion of an over consuming society via credit are the ultimate tax on the poor and middle class. Some people don't even have a chance. The problem is, our newly elected democratic government is asking us to foot the bill while they band-aid the issues with quick fixes.

All kidding aside, we're on the verge of doom. Debt is out of control on both a national and personal level. Bipartisanship does not exist. The constituants of our government officials don't even know why they belong to the party they straight ticket vote for due to the farsical advertising that is our election process. It's all fluff and social issues. All news is biased. Like I said, the average person doesn't have a chance and they probably don't even want one.

I don't think Obama is all bad - but whoever is doing the budget needs to get real. We can't keep spending social security funds to pay interest on loans. We're setting ourselves up for exponential failure.

haven't we been on the exponential failure path for a minute now? I'm not out to say fuck the government, but that little thing called national debt seems to be creeping up.
