I tend to see Canada as having more polarity in its citizens than America does. Had two Canadian roommates in college. One was super-cool, mindful of others, and very intelligent. Really a perfect roommate and a true friend to this day. The other was such a Canadian elitist, not that smart, and wore sandals and a toe ring. (I rest my case, your Honour) America could do nothing right in his mind. Claimed to be multi-cultural (you're from Estevan and you can't even speak the required French) and open-minded, yet he never left Saskatchewan or even his hometown. America was an evil place in his mind that didn't take care of its citizens. (Guess where he came to get a job?)
Having said that, I do love Canada. I head there every summer to kayak deep in Algonquin for a week at a time. I love the Maritimes. I love CBC Radio. I enjoy my time in Toronto and feel quite at home in Ottawa. Montreal is not without its charms, too.
To get a true feel of Canada, listen to Labrador Morning on CBC and feel your heart warm to the slower, quieter way of Canadian life. Then watch a few episodes of Trailer Park Boys to balance it out with a hatred of drunken, weeded-up hockey fans.

my fiancee and her family are Canadian immigrants. Her and her dad are awesome. He's French Canadian. Her mom is a snobby waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles who grew up poor, and then married my fiancee's dad and now they have money. She's English, but tries to act French. She's a total wineo and pronounces Robert's name as RO-bear.
tl;dr some are totally awesome, some are snobby wannabe frenchies

Where the fuck is Lee?
My personal opinion of Canadians is that they are a bit boring really. You never hear anything exciting coming out of Canada. Maybe it just seems that way. I do respect a country that keeps it's nose clean - and I'll give you that Canada.
But Canada is like that boring girl in high school that never went to a party, never got in trouble, showed up to class on time. Always had a sharp #2 pencil. I just want to take Canada out and get her drunk one night - maybe go to a strip club - I don't know.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?

Canadian-made Coca-Cola tastes better than US-made product just because real cane sugar is used in Canadian-made Coke, while in the US, because cane sugar is subjected to a high tax to protect the corn industry, well, Coke is mae with corn sugar.
Not the same taste at all. Would you believe that the Americans have destroyed one of their signature products and that Canucks make it (again) better... ;-)
But honestly, Americans make great fried chicken...Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
