Yep. I've found Canadians to generally be more approachable than most Americans.

I live 10 minutes from the Canadian border and work at an airport so I interact with a lot of Canadians. From what I have noticed there are two main types. They are either laid back, friendly and generally pretty intelligent. Or they are the worst American stereotype multiplied by 10. Ignorant, annoying, slow driving, my shit don't stink ass holes. They love to come here on the weekends and crowd the gas stations and local Costco and make my weekends in town generally unenjoyable. Is it racist to dislike Canadians?

Family is from way up north in quebec, only been a couple of times to montreal, overall good experience (before i was 21) mostly just joking and looking for a reaction with the comments, however some of them, ie the elitist pricks are some of the worst people on the planet.

I am USA born, both grandparents on my dad's side are Canadian. Canadians as I know them are insecure about being Canadian. US citizens don't really think much about what Canadians think of them, yet Canadians think a lot about what "Americans" think of them. Don't worry about it, who gives a fuck what US people think. Just be Canadian.
