Yeah, that's the same boat I've been in for the last couple of years. I think firing the OC mid-season is desperate looking, and not a good sign. I think Singletary will be gone at the end of the year and the Niners will be better for it. I was never big on him as a head coach.

I also think David Carr is an upgrade over Alex Smith. That guy will never live up to the hype he was given out of college. Same goes for Crabtree. Sucks too, I wish he'd perform so I could actually start the fucker for my fantasy team.

I like David Carr a lot more than I like Alex Smith, but then again I'd rather have Singletary suit up and play QB his damn self than have Smith under center. I still maintain SF should have grabbed Vick two years ago, or McNabb this year.

I like David Carr, coming into the league he never had a chance. An expansion team with no offensive weapons, and no offensive line, great combo to build a franchise around...

I have faith in Alex Smith, he can obviously play good. He can also obviously play horrible. I hope he starts in Atlanta.

Atlanta may have a tough time against the 49ers, only because they don't have much to base a defensive strategy against us, except stop Gore, force Smith to throw. If Davis and Iupati step up, Alex will have a great game. HE was sacked 5 times in KC?

You may have faith in him, but at what point do you give up and start searching for a real franchise QB? The only this he's proven is that he can throw a football, and it takes a lot more than that to get to the superbowl..

Dude, Carr just didn't have it. He held onto te ball for too long and had no killer instinct.

He did the same thing in pre season this year.

It takes time for a QB to develop in this league, and doing it on a completely new team, thrown right into the fire, with new coaches, new players, etc, he didn't have much of a chance. His team had absolutely no OL, so holding the ball too long would be about 1.5 seconds lol

Well, sitting for a couple years will probably do that to you..

I don't wanna sound like a fanboy by any means, I just liked watching the Texans in thier early years, and David Carr seemed like a tough SOB. He got hit every single passing play, and kept on going. I like watching those kind of players.

                    No.

Alex Smith is terrible, and we have spent way too much time on him.

                      No. Haha.

I agree, that a lot of time and effort has been spent on Alex, he does have potential.
It sucks having 3 QB'S that haven't proven anything.

I agree Mike Vick could have been a huge step up, especially watching him on the Eagles.

Look, my opinion, Smith had no potential when he was drafted from the university of freakin Utah. None. Dude never knew how to play in the NFL and still hasn't made the transition. He is a college quarterback, end of story.

I was thinking the swirling winds in SF probably helped him make a few of those throws Monday Night.

Exactly the reason I was so happy the 49ers took him. When Rodgers slipped to the Pack I nearly had a heart attack :D

I think him and Singletary should finish the season. If the don't win the division, FINE get rid of them. But 3 games is not enough for me to throw in the towel for them.

I do feel bad about Gore, Vernon Davis, Willis, and other talented players that have been on the team. They deserve a playoff game. I also believe they are behind Alex 100 percent.
