I have a glossy screen and wish I had the matte/anti-glare screen. I take mine to class and school everyday. If there is any sunlight or really bright lighting the glare is pretty bad for me.

Also I like to turn the brightness down whenever Im not plugged into the outlet, and I feel like its easier to see the screen at a lower brightness with the matte screen. Then again full brightness in my apartment the glossy looks sweet.

Just think about where you will be using it and what will suite you best.

i have gloss, i wish i had gotten the matt finish in general, i plunged for the gloss
only because the color definition is a smidge better and the blacks are deeper, makes
things on the screen closer to print when working on graphics, but if thats not a concern
            then go for the matt.

next time around no option for me, matt ftw

It depends: If you use your laptop in only indoors, get glossy
If you use it outdoors, get anti glare.
They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Thats why both are available.

I would do the anti-glare. The anti-glare is more functional on a portable computer like the Macbook. The glossy is definitely better looking, but more of a hassle. I had the anti-glare on my Powerbook and loved it. But in the end, it up to you.

I use my MBP for photo and video editing, so I opted for the glossy, the colors are far more vibrant as people have said. As for it being a fingerprint magnet, keep your greasy fingers off the screen and you will be fine. I can't come up with a single reason as to why you should be touching the screen.

+1. I really like the glossy screens. There are very, very rare occasions where I prefer a matte screen.

glossy is great for my desktop where i can easily control the light in the room, but for portability anti-glare for sure.
