most forums have several options for layouts that you can choose, usually at the bottom of the page is a drop down. i was always surprised r3v didnt have this.

black text on a grey background is much nicer on the eyes.

And... some people's eyes are bothered by black on white, some people's eyes are bothered by white on black, some people can't see red on white, etc, etc. The layout will never please everyone. I think black backgrounds can be easier on the eyes, but it's hard to choose colors that will work well on black background. I don't care much either way, I've never thought about it so it must not bother me very badly. Shouldn't this be in Forum Suggestions not Off Topic? ;)

I'm fine with the way it is, but I bet black on gray, or white on blue/navy blue would look good. Who cares though really? not a big deal at all, and nothing is ever going to please everyone.
