Who is a better superhero: Superman or Batman

Out of the blue, MikeK asked me, who my favorite superhero was. Me, I like Batman. He's sort of a thinking man, IMO. There are heroes and villains, but there's also a gray area in Batman's universe. Like Two-Face. Yes, Two-Face's homicidal half is just a lunatic. But there exists maybe a commentary on the duality of man in his lunacy.

MikeK's favorite superhero was Superman. A strong alien from Krypton. Just like MikeK is a strong alien from the Korea? I dunno. It's only because of the yellow sun that Superman is mad strong on Earth. Back on his former planet, he was just another dude.

Batman is a complete and utter farce. Would he be as eager and willing to fight injustice if he didn't have more money than god? He wouldn't be able to do anything that he does if it weren't for the unlimited resources and technology he has access to. He's said on more than one occasion that the reason he is Batman is because "no one else can". Sure they could, as long as they had the money that he does, to able to have whatever he needs made and available at any time.

Take the scene at the beginning of Dark Knight, when the copycat guy yells "What gives you the right? What's the difference between you and me", and Batman replies "I'm not wearing hockey pads". So, if the guy was as loaded as Bruce Wayne, and had the same outfit and gadgets that he has, would he let him help?

This is true. It is only because of the money he has that he is able to do what he does. But why is he out there fighting crime, when he could just be doing two chicks at once?
