yup just pointing out that you have to take in the demographics, MT has less people in the entire state than CA has in one SMALL suburb of SD. LA. or SF. or even SAC.

The subject's vehicle was never placed in park. The officer never touched the vehicle, which is done for multiple reasons... To leave finger prints on the car, to ensure the trunk is secured/and or there is no one in the trunk. The officer has his flashlight in his shooting hand. The officer squares up with the front door of the vehicle. He'd be better positioned before the B-pillar, or the opening of the driver's door.

I'd imagine the officer thought it would be a simple "routine" traffic stop. Though, there is no such thing as a routine stop. I'd say he did a great job at talking to the subject and reacting to the threat though.

From what I've gathered, this isn't a large department, and this likely isn't an everyday occurrence for an officer in this area.

Ya think the population is only 3700 and that is with the massive influx of Californians in the last 7-8 years. Before that is was only around 2500.

No thats not a every day deal in the state let alone that area, for fucks sake the nearest walmart is 45min-hour north of there in Missoula

Ha. The officer to leave fingerprints on the suspect's car - interesting. I can see how that would come in handy. I thought they all wore gloves though?

Not all officers wear gloves, that can get quite annoying after a while.

It's not JUST finger prints, a hand in a glove still will leave "prints" on a car.

Turf1600 - Whenever you involve race and it doesnt apply, its wrong. On both sides. I cant stand the protesters either, but why embitter yourself and sink to their level by making comments that are factually incorrect, simply because you have an issue with how the media and the generally retarded american masses think/promote?

No one has really discussed race specifically - only the media's interpretation of the same scenario with different races involved. Is it wrong to discuss?

No. But you know damn well what you were saying. Dont play stupid. And "Hes lucky the dude was white" does specifically talk about race. Dont play stupid. You know what you were implying were all big boys. And that comment makes many generalizations that are just wrong, thats not a discussion. Thats a sweeping generalization/opinion that factually couldnt be farther from the truth, simply because you have a personal prejudice. Dont run now, you said it, own it.

                        ??????

Apparently I'm over your head. All anyone ever did was comment on the media's interpretation of the same situation with different races involved. That has nothing to do with my own beliefs. Honestly, I think you're just a hothead when it comes to racial issues. That doesn't help your cause at all.

All I ever implied was the media spins things differently depending upon the race of the victim/defendant. I don't see how you can disagree. So, yeah - the cop was lucky it wasn't a black guy because he'd probably be suspended. That statement isn't loaded with any form of prejudice.

Did you think I was on the other side of the fence or what?

That was serious. He must have knew he hit him because he didn't run to get in his car for a chase....

I'm ignoring all this race bullshit because it's stupid and lame.

OK man... let just leave it at that. Its easy to say I a hothead when you are speaking from your POV. Im way too sensitive and have no reason to be. My experiences have made me like this. I went to school as a kid thinking everyone was cool and everyone was equal and didnt look at color or race into the equation of the value of a person. My classmates taught me differently.

DId I? I wasnt the one that involved race in the issue when it wasnt at all a topic of discussion. Re-read the thread. My reaction was just that, a REACTION to a post. ;)
