I started taking those when I was going through my weight lifting phase, but I just ended up sticking to whey protein or muscle milk. That BSN stuff has some side effects.Originally posted by StereoInstaller1Do you feel like something is trying to penetrate your butthole?Comment

OOOOOOOKKKKKKKK. FIRST:
Do your own research. Dont listen to what anyone else says, unless they are trained physical trainers, or supplement professionals.
Second: Having said that, ill tell you my experience with the product BSN Cell Mass.
-Started out lifting for 2 months, with just protein seeing some gains. lets say 5 pounds over 2 months. (Fast metabolism) I then heard from a Friend that Cell Mass worked really well, but you have to drink alot of water. SO i tried it. Followed the directions and went along my way. Soon after i started getting some migraines. This was due to dehydration.
-My first tip is to drink A SHIT FUCKING TON of water. like... as much as you can shove in your face. It does dehydrate you, thats how it works. It super-hydrates your muscles to give you a bit more power and muscular stamina. So unless you drink alot, you will be dehydrated and perform less.
- After 2 months while taking it, i gained about 10 pounds. this was great. so i continued taking it and felt pretty good about myself. Then I started playing lacrosse for my highschool team. I stopped lifting and taking Cell Mass. BAD IDEA. i lost about 7 pounds over the course of the season.
- I have not taken it since, because the migraines are not worth it. but it works, and you gain weight and muscle mass. Now i am back at the gym and i'm taking Up Your Mass <<-- it is making great gains for me, im up to about 150 after 4 months.
Last Point: Take it as you may but there was an investigation that BSN wasnt putting CEE (Creatine Ethyl Ester) in their Cell mass, which is in the ingredient list. It is supposed to be a great supplement, but there is almost none in Cell Mass, like they claim. Instead it is Creatine Monohydrate
Here is the link to the investigation: Linky
^^ basically its saying that there is no CEE in Cell Mass, rather, it is overpriced CM (Creatine Monohydrate)
TLDR: It works, but it is overpriced. Drink water. (read it if you have the time)Comment

No, nothing besides Up Your Mass and eating everything in sight. It is working very well, i feel good, and its DELICIOUS!
I take about 1.5 servings each day. Your supposed to take 1 serving twice a day. I really dont want to spend that much money. It does get expensive if your drinking it all the time lol. So i take two shakes just a 1/4 under the serving size.
but again, it works well, like i said im up to about 150 pounds now, up from hovering around 140. I have always been skinny, and its very hard for me to gain weight. Up Your Mass has worked well to put on muscle and not fat.
im thinking of trying a CM addition to my diet. I'm up to drinking alot of water again, and if i think about it, i can drink more and not be dehydrated.Comment

From someone who makes drugs for a living. Don't take that shit.
About 1/3 of that stuff is bogus garbage, 1/3 of the stuff is just dangerous, 1/3 some of the T- precursors are legit, but seriously fucking with hormones is really stupid.
Hydroxy cut used to be ephedrine, then became chromium nicotinate!. You don't want that shit, it got pulled because people started to get liver or renal failure.Comment

Ok...was a sup rep on bb.com
BSN products are no where close to steroids. Chances are you bought into the placebo effect and really thought to yourself the product was working. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, placebo effect is awesome because you really do better, but not because of the product.
By your description, I'm going to assume you were taking Nitrix, which is lots of arginine which makes your blood vessels expand.
Now go ahead and take anything you like, but science has proven L-arginine and any other arginine compound will work a little. Nothing compared to eating right, and staying on top of your diet...which should include plenty of calories if you want to gain weight.
Take 1.5g protein per body weight per day. Whey protein is everywhere but studies have shown that casein protein actually builds muscle more effectively. Whey is good for right after a workout when your muscles want the calories and amino acids. Casein is good for in the morning, before bed, etc..any time other than right after a workout.
Take at LEAST 1.5g carbs per body weight. Most people...even "fitness trainers" if you want to call them that, think all you need is protein. Carbs are more anabolic than proteins are, and to really gain mass carbs are your best friend.
Keep fat pretty high too, but look for good fats..along with good protein and carbs.
Creatine will definitely help you out, but do yourself a favor and start out slowly so you get acquainted with all the dieting and dont burn yourself out.
If you are looking for steroid like gains, you will have to take steroids. There is nothing out there right now that will show you any improvements on par with testosterone, derivatives, etc.Comment

^ ty for the spacing edit lol.
ya the placebo effect is nice. Though for BSN Products, from what ive read on the lawsuits, your paying 34 bucks for a placeboComment
