yeah If I was smart I would have bought gold 10 years ago when it was about 280 an oz.

Have been buying some silver when the spot prices are low and I have the money laying around

      Coulda woulda shoulda?

you can't look at it like that. What if gold had gone the other way, down to $140 an ounce? you would have lost half your money. Anyone that put all their savings into gold when it was $280 an ounce were lucky, not smart.

People were saying the same thing at the peak of the housing market. I coulda woulda shoulda bought that house for $100k, now it's worth 3x as much! We all know how well that turned out...

Yes for 20 years now in THD. My mom made me take half my paycheck each week in highschool (200 bucks) and invest it in THD. I have more investments, but as far as moves go, I thank her every day. I bought stock from 1991 to @ 2000, saw every split, and to this day have come out on top. Now I am not saying that I am set, but if the stock market hadn't seen the problems it has over the past 9 years, i would be completly set. i also have stock in Lowes, Emerson electric, and I invest yearly in a Roth that I started in 97.

yeah I know I know. I was 18/19 and thought a better use of the money was to blow it on stupid shit. just saying I was about to buy 25oz back then and wished I had thats all. Instead I bought a "Killer System" for my truck and some new wheels and tires for my F-body

Gold needs to see a correction here some time soon, its getting too inflated it will pop and drop.

Totally, if I had waited to buy my house, I could have gotten it for half the price maybe, but as my realator says, you can't think back to what you did or did not do. You will miss the boat more than you catch it. I thank my mother for staying ontop of me when I wanted to sell my Protge and get a Subaru 2.5RS in the late 90s. Had it not been for her I would have probably stopped investing and would have alot less than I do now.

Wish you had asked for advice before the i pad came out. Apple went up 30%. Honestly apple is a pretty solid company to invest in.
I bought a bunch of Apple stock when it was $60 a share. Other than that, I just have the standard 401K BS.
