Out of all the people I have talked to you are only like the 4th person to have anything negative to say.
I'm not too worried about so called 'douchery' but maybe if you could elaborate on your comment.

you can easily get a 3 bedroom house in the m-streets/lakewood/little forest hills areas. you would be centrally located, safe, close to your work, bars, music, restaurants, shopping all that shid. for the money dallas is hard to beat. $1000/month in central austin will get you a tent with sage and patchouli garden.

southlake and trophy club are nice but your commute will be hell and its expensive out there.

irving and/or carrollton are more affordable but again you will be fighting traffic to get to work.

Been here only a week. Found a place in North(i think) Dallas. Near preston and Keller springs.

Liking it so far...this humidity is oppressive tho.

I'll hit you up when i get my shit settled in and the cash flow becomes steady. But for now, I'm a home-body.

Thats a pretty good area, and yes, that is classified as north Dallas.

I felt it seemes like a pretty nice place. The complex is on apartmentratings.com and rated as the best in the area. I got a two bedroom, ~850 sq ft. for ~$750 a month. With forst two weeks rent free!

All the tenants seemed happy with the place and of whom that I spoke with had been there 3, 7, and +11 years. So that told me that it had to at least be good and honest management.

I think I'll be happy here for a while.

Well me being from Austin which is a little city with kind of a small town vibe alot people from Dallas, Houston, etc just come of kinda douchy alot of the time. Im not sayin all of them are but I have always ran into more then one everytime I go. If anyone could find that rant with the dude jumpin in his ferrari mercialago and doing 800mph to go fuck his supermodel girlfriend while sippin on some starbucks, its kinda like that.
