It's ok to be modest or conservative, but don't be cynical.
Don't think bro bro with an MBA is the boss of anybody.
Look up the numbers if you must..

I'm looking for jobs right now and a lot of the companies are recruiting engineer majors for management type positions. A lot of the highly technical positions require some graduate degree or lots of work experience, but there are neat jobs out there.

It's really like anything else. It's who you know and what you do with it..
You realized that you just contradicted yourself? Engineers may be getting hired into management positions but that means they aren't doing engineering and more than likely they have an engineering degree and an MBA because they were sick of getting shit on by business majors.

*Note that this is coming from an ME... The FE isn't hard, the questions are very basic. However they pretty much cover every topic you covered in your 4 years in college, from chem to fluid dynamics. Personally I thought it was one of the better tests I have taken, as they aren't trying to trick you they are trying to make sure you can apply all of what you were supposed to learn. I didn't study for it and was happy that I didn't because to cover every topic in the test you would have to study for 3 months, but of course if there are a few topics that you know you are hazy on then by all means do some brushing up. Btw, a beer during the lunch break does wonders to regain your sanity after the first 4 hours of the test.

The FE is a joke. Period. 1st half is one-line-plug-and-chuggers. 2nd half is two-line-plug-and-chuggers. I wish they let me just run through the test without lunch. I would have been finished within the first 4 hours.

The PE on the other hand. Well, I'm not qualified to take it yet but it is DEFINITELY harder than the FE.

BTW I'll be applying for either my ENMA or MBA soon if I ever get around to it. Company funded tuition ftw.

OH yeah another +1 to internships/coops. Apply to every fucking internship/coop in existence. I would not be where I am today without doing internships.

        I never contradicted myself.
You make it seem like your destiny is defined by what degree you have.
My point was that you'll get wherever you take yourself.
If you are content with writing programs on the computer all day and being told what to do, then that's likely what you'll end up doing your whole life.
And that's not what engineering is defined by..
