In a small town nearby there was/is a law against walking a lion in public. Probably a good law, but it makes you wonder who actually did this and why a lion was in the middle of nowhere. As far as road kill goes, the reason for that law is because of all the deer hit by cars. A lot of people eat deer, and before the law you had to call the gamewarden, wait three or four hours for him/her to show-up, then get the thumps up. It was the environmentally friendly solution to the problem.
