Ballin'. What year?
ech... yugos.
I love me some 80's cars... it seems like a pretty good decade when things weren't too complicated, but still good enough for performance platforms.
SCC isn't in production any more. I figured the SCC license plate + "let the ass kicking begin" would be massive lulz. since my car is neither sporty nor compact.
Cheers dude. That was probably the first sticker to go on there.
Standard wagon... actually it's a GL (don't let the DL badge fool you, though I've been calling it a DL for a year and a half now and there's only one difference, so it may as well be). No turbo yet but I've got one sitting in my garage and about half the parts I need to do the whole +t dealio. Though if I blow my engine up first, then I can justify going with a 93 turbo block...
also, no chebby motors. or v8s for this car. I want to make it a straight-up Volvo turbo car. 16v may or may not be in it's future, but for now it's just a DD and I don't want to do crazy insane stuff with it. the +t is just so it's not abysmally slow, all the suspension stuff I plan to do to it is all pretty mild, and the car gets worked HARD as a daily... it's the only car in a three-adult household, meaning it has to haul people, gear, dogs, etc...
Also, being a poor college student doesn't really bode well for saving up for a big ol' V8... though if I could, I'd rock a fuel injected 5.0. Yeah boy.
That car is one of my biggest inspirations, thank you for posting more pictures of it that I haven't seen yet. Silver wagon + polarii + roof rack + rake = holy fucking want.
Horrible? Horrible!? This car is wonderful!*
Also, I can think of a sooooper loud red 318is but it is/was? owned by a guy I know named Ronnie, don't know if he's still driving that thing or not. I haven't seen him in a while, so I'm guessing no. Though that's the only super loud 318is I can think of. Since you're so close, maybe you and I and maybe some other locals could meet up and have a bbq and shoot the shit some time over the summer. Or if you see me around, honk or wave or something.
*Wonderful only if you don't care about going fast, having a quiet or smooth ride, or having any style. Though to be fair, I still love this car and I have no intention of getting rid of it.
