i found a Century intake mani from a turbo kit in a 320is. i knew it was not stock, but had no idea what it was or worth. i paid $5 for it on 50% off day.
i went home and googled it. that linked me to bimmer forums and after a little more research and a for sale post, sold it there for $150 + shipping.
i guess the cali E21 turbo guys need these for turbo kits to pass inspection so they are like gold to them because they were CARB certified kits.seien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen

all the yards I have been to in recent years in several states wont let you walk around to see what they have. Then the want 700 for a 2.7m20 with nearly 200k on it. Or 2500 for a M50, they think cuz I am looking for BMW parts they are worth more .
Shit I needed a harness termination for the drivers mirror on mu 99 tahoe. the P.O. for some reason cut the end off the door harness for the damn mirror. All the yards local to me wanted 45-50 bucks for the connection block and 6 inches of wire. New from GM was 55. I just hard wired it.The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money. -Alexis de TocquevilleOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

I would rather just buy a swap on here or from someone local rather then pull and have to rebuild the whole thing. I saw a few nice BMWs at the local yard, at least 2 m50s and 1 v8, and a whole bunch of others. I went over to look at one of the m50s and found it sitting in the car without an oil cap on, with no hood, and it rains alot around here. No thanks. Also found 3 or 4 2.0s for the jetta, but I could have them cheaper off the local forum, and better condition no doubt.Originally posted by Beej '86 325esevery time an M-tech 1 spoiler is destroyed, a baby seal dies.87 325:83 jetta coupe:99 volvo c70:99 volvo s70Originally posted by JparkrThe last thing we need are more of the retards on here thinking they are engineers too.Comment

Best find so far is probably a 745i 1983, or the 524td. I like anything unusual, though. Like the yugo that was there last week, or the odd 735i with a stick (there were once 3 in one of the yards at the same time! Only one right now...should probably go get that trans...)Comment

My best find was a E36 M3 with the S54, Tranny, Super sprint exhaust, and vaders in it.
I nabbed the Exhaust and the vaders.
Didnt bother going for the engine and tranny since it hit something on the front and rolled multiple times.

Anything made before the seventies, since it's almost impossible to find anything that old in a junkyard anymore; at least around here...
It's cool, but also depressing, since I know whatever it is will never get restored and end up in the crusher. Unfortunately, CA law will not allow a car to be sold whole once it ends up in the yards. :(JasonComment

Really? No B5 Audis here. :(
Found a sick "Bavaria" badge on some awesome old sport packaged' '84e. Junkyards are interesting no matter the make of car.- skipping the E36 generation completely -

wrecked police cars. one of the yards i go to gets all of baltimore city's wrecked police cars. they mash 'em up on the regular.
i've found sirens, full strobe kits, batons/nightsticks, handcuffs, and even some shotgun shells in the trunk of one car. in one of the cars that looked like it had rolled, there was blood and what i, to this day, believe to be a turd, in the backseat!Originally posted by BillBraskyThat's like Vlad challenging Chip Foose to a car painting contest.2007 CVPI, stock and slowOriginally posted by acolella76i'm pretty sure 'Phillis' is short for syphilis
