What is YOUR favorite car to find in a junkyard?

For me, it's an 88 vert with the sports/cold weather package. just snagged a set of decent heated seats for 40 bucks, grabbed the front sway+end links as well. the diff was already gone, but i'll take what i can get....

So... is there a certain optioned car you look for, or hope you find at the yard? if so, what is it. the premium sound package, heck/rear spoiler, etc etc...

I used to check anything that looked like it could have some cool option, like an old E class with a 5L, S class with one of those 7.3 V12s, Camaro with an LS6 swap etc. Then one day I saw a Quattroporte III with this under the hood (4.9L 280ish hp):

I started dreaming what fun beater I could build around it. So I went to see if I could score it for dirt, and as I got there, some dude was already closing the deal.

This made me realize that I don't go often enough and not as aggressive as some of these sharks to ever hope to score anything cool at a junk yard. I'm going to have to pay for anything cool like normal people, and go to junk yards for worthless odds and ends.

I'm just waiting to find an M50 E34 or E36, because long-block engines are only $300, regardless of make.

They never get E36's in the U-Pull-It here, and it drives me crazy, because they have B5 Audis all the damn time.

i have gone into pick n pull here and walked past 3 e34 M50 cars and 2 e36 m50 cars in the same day, im just too lazy to pull one.

could be a good building block though

Thats because you live in little Aspen and everyone drives all wheel drive cars.
