I love America and cheap disposable goods.

Therefore, I have chosen not to read any replies in this thread.

    Good day.

bullshit. Only by spending it on stupid stuff or buying up real estate. Charitable contributions? I think not.

Oh, BTW: I buy chinese shit. I look for the best quality I can find at the best price. Chinese shit usually provides that...but not like I have a choice, is it?

China will sooner or later bite the hand that feeds it.

You guys just don't get it.

All of you dumbasses who point your finger of hate at wallyworld, just fucking quit it.

The Walton family is not the issue. YOU are the issue. WE Americans buy CHEAP CHINESE shit.

Yes, we buy it at WalMart, so the Waltons get filthy rich, but study a little history. Ever hear of Atlantic and Pacific? They had such a monopoly on workers, price, distribution channels, products and availability in the 1800s...1/3 of ALL Americans who had a job worked for 1 company, A&P.

WalMart will crash too, but at least they are socially conscious in their own way. They hire more "disabled" people that everyone else by a HUGE margin, they have LOTS of "outreach" programs...you ever hear of a little mom and pop hardware store doing anything beyond sponsoring a little league team?

The real issue is that we fucking retard Americans (Canadians, too, and lets not forget Europe) can't seem to see past price.

Sooner or later, the Chinese people are gonna demand fair wages for their production. That will end the Chinese superiority of price for their shoddy product.

No matter if you buy at Target, Ace hardware or off the damn internet, EVERYTHING is made in China (now some dweezil is gonna say "hey, my belly button douche is made in Italy" and I say "great, now go fuck off. Most are made in china") so the real goddamn point is:

QUIT BUYING CHINESE SHIT, ALL OF IT!

Chinese workers to uprise? Not yet. But salaries are increasing.

Ten workers have killed themselves and three have attempted suicide at Foxconn's operations in southern China this year, mainly workers who jumped from buildings. A Foxconn worker in northern China also committed suicide this year.

I get my oil, and some tools, at the local parts shop. Two Greek brothers who are into drag racing 1960's iron muscle. I support enthusiasts. I don't think the fat lady at Walmart's cashier knows what an Hemi is... or can tell me if 5W30 is better than 15W50.

The big difference between Japan and China is that Japan developped its industrial sector by being creative and original. They made products not available in the Western world. While China is only producing cheaper priced products according to Occidental blueprints. Therefore, taking away jobs (simply said). And the problem in China is the rampant corruption, the lack of ethic and quality standards. Japanese and Chinese cultures are totally different.

You can have some hi-fi made in China and sold under your brand name. Next thing you know is that they will make the same equipment, still under your name, but with inferior components and sell them on eBay for 1/3 the price, ruining your market, and ruining your name as the sold equipment is shitty. Talk about ethics.

Not to mention that when you want to lower production prices, you cut corners, and your dishwasher catches fire...

    meh

I need some batteries I will run into walmart because the rechargeables that have high ratings on the photo forum are energizer and they are as cheap as walmart as ebay... and I can have them when I leave the store.

I will buy random things there I need. Zip ties. Light Bulbs. Shop towels. Oil. Etc. I don't actively shop there but I go there. Oh noes.

every country is an economic threat to the US. I guess you should start hating Japan 2nd, Europe 3rd, Middle East 4th. This is a natural process for emerging markets during industrialization. The only difference is that China has a bigger and industrious population. Big savers + big producers=greater wealth.
