I've heard from guys in porsche baseball caps and polo's that they are perfection, and would meet your standards

They're good cars. make good power from the factory, awd and are good dd. I've had the chance to take a ride in one and it was a great smooth ride. but when you wanted to go have fun, well, it was fun to say the least.

I would get a legacy GT wagon if I was in your shoes. I think, I haven't driven one before.

        Forester XT might be nice.

I know I'd get frustrated with tq steer in the mazdaspeeds.

Not sure what they go for exactly.

Maybe on '06-07 WRX? Maybe an STi or EVO if I could find a well cared for example.
Insurance is rough on Subaru's from what I hear. A good friend of mine recently found out that the insurance rate for his base model Impreza 2.5 is exactly the same as the STi. Not sure how it would compare to the Mustang though.

I haven't priced a Forester on insurance, but it must be less than an STI, and has to be less than my M Coupe.

My parents just got a steal on a Forester XT

2003 with 13,000 miles and nearly every factory option (6 disc CD changer, sporty tan leather seats). They picked it up for $13,000 on CL. A lady had bought then gotten bad alsheimers right after she bought it. Her son was selling because she had passed away.

Anyways it is a great ride and kicks her old Windstar's ass. Though it is much smaller compared to a minivan. Thing gets good gas mileage, though on her first tank my Mom got 19 mpg. The thing is really easy to drive hard! So just gotta keep it under 2500 rpm.

Haha I found out today the damn thing was turbo'd

No go on the Forester, that's a bit too far away from the fun scale.

Well they are pretty damn safe that insurance can't be too bad.

I thought you were off the fun scale when you sold your e30?

legacy wagon gt must still be fun to drive?

I really want to drive one. STI speed comes pretty easy in those cars, plus you have all the extra room and class.

I can't wait to get back into an STi.... I know they're not exactly liked on r3v, but whatever, I loved that car and can't wait to get back into one.

Seems like you need another bike for thrills.

I think the Forester (XT) could be on the fun scale. The non-turbo'd you make an argument.

5toes - Good to hear, I assume she went with the auto though? Let me know how it fairs regardless.
