    Luckiest kid in the world

Signed by Ferrari at 11 years old. My life will never be as cool as this kid's.

11-year-old two-time Canadian Karting champion Lance Stroll becomes the youngest person ever signed by Ferrari Racing to a development deal and training at the Ferrari Driving Academy. He also wins the title of luckiest kid ever.

I agree, my life will never be as cool as his! I hate that my parents didn't have the foresight to invest in my future by letting me kart when I was 3. Of all the people in F1 right now almost all of them have been karting since an extremely young age, the only exceptions I can think of in the past few years are Kimi to a degree and Bruno Senna.

This kid is hopefully going to go on to become a star in the motorsports world.

Not trying to discredit his talent or anything, but he's the son of Lawrence Stroll, the head of Ferrari Montreal and owner of the Tremblant race track. (also owner of an FXX) so his family is rather connected.

I used to rag on my parents about this on a damn near daily basis.

Good for him. Just keep in mind that it's not where you are in life that makes you happy, its what you make of it. So don't get all depressed over the fact that this kid is living all of our dreams, combines, collectively, times eleventy billion, then turbocharged.

                      All before he hit puberty.

Glad to see a parents position can still push forward their kids career.
The kid would have been ignored if his daddy wasn't who he is.

I see it both ways. Perhaps this kid would have never been noticed unless his daddy pulled some strings..but on the flip side there could be other kids out there who are better, but their families don't have the connections to get him that kind of exposure.

Kid is damn lucky though. What do you think he will get as a bonus when he turns 16?
