iPhone: Who's selling their 3Gs for the 4G?

As long as the iPhone is on one network, that network will blow. You can say anything you want about how good other networks are, but what do you think is going to happen when you add 21 MILLION iPhone users to that network? And that was in 2009. They're expecting to hit 40-45 Million users in 2010. There isn't a network out there that can handle that right now, which is why they need to make Apple products multi networked.

4G technology isn't standardized, that doesn't mean the technology doesn't exist, if it didn't exist how would I be pulling 19Mbps avg on my SPRINT 4G network? Sprint is the only US company with a viable 4G network, and a fantastic 3G network. HTC Evo FTW!!!!

I think in the next 15-20 years the average consumer digital camera, ( not the kickass ones used by professional photogs) and consumer camcorders will completely disappear, because the cameras in phones keep getting better, and soon, HD video capability will be standard across the phone industry. there will be no need for video recorders or digital cameras. the phones will do it all, there will be no need for separate devices anymore. within uor life times, it is going to be an amazing, and for some, a scary time to live because of all the new tech.

uhhhh yea. It's already happening and has been happening for years now. Major technological breakthroughs are happening more and more rapidly. 15-20 years from now things will be DRASTICALLY different. I'd expect digi cams and the such will be obsolete much much sooner then that. Even within the next 5 years.

No one's buying GPS's anymore either, which is why companies like Garmin are starting to produce phones to stay afloat.

to be fair, sprint 4g is really wi-max, which isn't the standard LTE that every is moving towards. As for saying 4g tech is not out yet, thank you for agreeing with me when I said its the iphone 4 not the iphone 4g?

this is still just a 3g phone with upgraded camera, processor, and screen. It is NOT capable of faster data speeds, so don't go buying it expecting evo data speed.

My regular ass Sanyo S1 provides me with all the mobile phone call and texting abilities that i will ever need. even better, i've had the phone for over 2 years and it only cost $20 when i got it along with a 2 year renewal. even if it had broken by now, it would not be burdensome for me to replace it.
for portable internet, i have a laptop. iphone/AT&T problems solved

thats unfortunate. at&t is decent down in so cal. whenever i have a service interruption, i call 611 and they credit my account. i don't think i've ever paid full price for a single bill.

furthermore, in the overall picture, my car (E30) is very much a sanyo S1 when compared to the 'iPhones' (newer cars, do you see the metaphor i'm drawing here?). I find beauty in the straightforward simplicity.
