My experience (a decade ago) was atrocious, they had bought the company I had been with since the advent of cellular (L.A. Cellular) and over a three year period pissed me off to the point I went 100% with Nextel (mistake) I had radios only and switched phone over to them.

ANYTHING is better then AT&T at this point. On 3G I cannot make ANY call that lasts longer then 10 without it dropping and saying call failed on the screen. In order to have reliable voice I need to disable 3g, which puts me on a slow as hell data network... I'm not paying 30 bucks a month for 56k internet speeds.

AT&T never admits anything is wrong, EVER, and they simple blame Apple. Apple simply blames AT&T... and here i'm paying 140 bucks a month for a cellphone I cannot use.

3 things finally pissed me off enough to leave

1) During the Iphone 4 keynote when the phone stopped working, Jobs asked one his guys if he had any ideas on how to fix the Wifi.. At this point somebody in the audience shouted Verizon and the entire audience cheered... Apple? Hello? is ANYBODY listening to us?

2) Same thing at the D8 Digital Summit, one guy got up and said he can never make calls, and the entire audience once again, started cheering. Jobs responded saying that things will get much worse before they better.. okay thats fair, so where is my refund for the service I cannot use?

3) Finally all the iPAD 3G's, and Iphone 4's that will be destroying AT&T's network... this is NOT going to get better.

AT&T never says anything, instead they running shitty commercials about a better 3g experience (I'd love to learn how I can turn THAT on), always say I should never have problems, and NEVER admit fault. Hell it took Steve Jobs at D8 to actually admit that AT&T is doing ANYTHING to increase bandwidth to the towers.

To be honest I currently have a BBB complaint into AT&T over service I cannot use, with logs on my phone of nearly 40% of my calls being dropped (and I've tried other phones, including non iphones, sims, etc)

I used to be 100% against Verizon, because all they had were shitty phones plagued with crappy software. Now with Android they have gotten away from that.

Hell give me an Iphone on Verizon and I'd be in heaven, however I don't see Apple actually doing anything decent for customers. after all people are still buying Iphones on AT&T, and apparently nobody cares to report the problems.

Sorry for the rant, I've been pretty freaking pissed at AT&T lately and I've finally had it

Yup even down here in teh sticks it seems to be getting worse by the day. I've been waiting for 5 fucking minutes for the phone to pull up the voicemail my fiancee just left me, fucking ridiculous.

The Incredible is unbelievably fast. The X looks too big for me to carry around, dunno about you. Either one is likely a good choice.

I have a 3GS. and am satisfied for the most part with ATnT. The only time ive had a dropped call is when im in the basement, and I get great signal for the most part, unless im out at my friends in the pseudo-sticks. I have the base plan with unlimited data, of the 450 anytime i get i use only like 15-30 per month, so i have hella much roll over minutes saved up, i added the base texting ( 200 per month) for $5, and my bill is about $83.32 or something. the only thing i really use the phone for is the internet.

will not be upgrading to the new iphone because i dotn have the money ,and i dotn like the way it looks, it isnt as sexy as the one i have imo. my 3GS works fine and imo there is nothing that the iP4 offers that make it worth upgrading.

funny but I actually have fewer dropped calls with my iphone than I did with my BB Bold. this past weekend at Lime Rock was the only time I have had cell phone issues but I was told by locals that nothing works out there unless you are at the track itself.

I have little to no complaints with my service.

you all realize it is the iphone 4, not the iphone 4g. this thing does NOT support 4g cell tech (which will be LTE for att and verizon)
