I have the HTC Eris, absolutely love it. I use mine for music all the time but just with headphones, sounds great and it comes with an 8gb sd card so can easily replace your mp3 player.
I'm wanting to get the LG Ally, but not sure what will be out when I get to upgrade. My neighbor guy has the Moment on Sprint and you can watch Youtube videos flawlessly on it. Some pretty amazing stuff, I must say.
I have a Moto Droid (wanted a hard keyboard) , Love the Android OS, I have never been fan of the Iphone in the 1st place but I like the dorids
have it.
Ditto... Havent quite got used to the touch screen keyboard, semi-worried that once the Motorola Droid runs its course that it will be hard to find an android phone on verizon with the physical keyboard.
Awesome phone, great 3g speeds and great with wifi.

Aa a bonus filling the tank will also double any Eta's resale value .
I have the droid. It's pretty nice.. the physical keyboard is shit IMO. I use the soft keyboard almost exclusively. Speaker is decent, 3g is fast, I never lose signal even out in the middle of nowhere oklahoma, 16gb sd card included is really nice. Google nav / maps is great.. and the voice search recognition is really good. Really lacks in the games department IMO.. apps are pricey and there's isn't as many or as good games.. but I have a ps3 for that anyway. Screen resolution is great.
edit: the camera is also really good, plus a nice bright flash.
this. hands down coolest phone I've ever used. Also, Google Goggles (take a picture and it googles what you took a picture of) kicks ass. I've had it for a few days so far and absolutely love it.

This too.
Another big advantage to the soft keyboard is spelling suggestions. Saves a bunch of time sending emails, texts or IMs. Pretty much the only time I use the hard keyboard is when I need to use the d-pad for cursor placement with edits.
