SRT8 LOOKS better, but the SS is probably a better all around truck. I agree with chrysler junk, my 04 grand cherokee isn't the best. Older Jeep's are rock solid though.

The SS has the LS2, which is a bulletproof, excellent foundation for modding and lots-o-hp.

      SS gets my vote

      Sold.......again.

My best friend from high school owns a trailblazer ss. It's pretty fast, but I would recommend not getting one. They're just not that nice, insurance sucks ass, eat gas and they don't look that good. The SRT looks better, and if I remember correctly they are faster. But, after a bad experience with the XJ I owned, I have vowed never to own another gasoline powered Mopar.

no cause they look like ass. Why are you guys so obsessed with going fast in a suv? The subaru has potential for easily 250 hp, and is lighter than a subaru sti... In all seriousness if you want a real suv then get a tahoe.

                +1

A BMW X5 is potentially a good choice, but not for someone going into their 20's. Living within your means isn't too easy on something that could potentially break the bank. Look at what you can really afford, plus the upkeep on.

A 98-02 Forester (non turbo) can do what many SUVs can do off road, hold enough, and will last. Plus they are cheap. An 03+ Forester (XT is the turbo version) has a much nicer interior and non-turbo versions are easily found under 14k, hell even 10k. XT's are obviously a little more. 08 XT Sports (like the blue one posted) are going to be a little more still. Of course purpose built trucks will go more places off road but if you're smart off road you'd be surprised at what these "wagons" will do. Obviously I've researched these some, an XT is most likely my next DD. I think they can be sexy, but that's me and I'm looking more into the basic needs and things I don't need from a full size. 09+ look like any other crossover out there, Subaru messed up there adding too much to the utilitarianism of the Forester but I'm sure it still sells reasonably well.

It has the look of being very utility minded. I like it.

They no longer sell Land Rover Defenders in the US because they do not meet the safty qualifications. They are redoing them and are suposed to be bringing them back.

I would love to have one but it would have to be a diesel because the rover v8 is a shitty outdated engine.

                          Lol.

the SS was ok, but the interior is ugly compared to the srt-8.

yeah, that family car of a trailblazer is teh sex... gtfo. But you are in Alberta so maybe things are different.

P38's are the e30's of SUV's as far as looks go. But to each their own, opinions.
