    Vandalized...wow.

So our family has been gone for the past week, vacationing in Florida. We came back to my Peugeot having a slashed tire. We live in a Gated community with a HOA, etc, etc, and I was parked in a Guest spot. We're filing a report as I speak, but ultimately its on us, as I don't have comprehensive on that car. Has this happened to anyone else? Just curious, trying to piece this together, and have them pay for this.

You're going to have to buy a new tire.

On vacation, HOA, parked in guest spot. Sounds like one of your over zealous neighbors took some aggression out on your car. Still, its a tire. I'd chalk it up as something that could have happened anyway eventually just driving. Obviously it did not. Someone keying your paint on the other hand would be entirely different.

          my tires are $250/piece.

even with a $100 deductible its better. and this is why my comprehensive is $0 anyway. it only added $70/year and comprehensive claims dont raise your rates.

          you have my condolences man.

Yup. Angry and overzealous neighbour. Do you remember anyone with whom you previously had a discussion about parking in "that" guest spot? Most likely you just found the hand that held the knife...
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

I'm surprised they didn't figure it was abandoned and have it towed for scrap.

I think the Peugeot may have tried to commit suicide.

Yeah guys, I know its just a tire, and it probably wont cost me more than $200, but that alone is fucked up. Being a student, money is tight, and I'm saving almost all I have for college, as well as getting my frame rail straightened. My parents don't throw money at me. And the e30 is broke as well. Looks like ya boy is taking the bus to Oakland! :D

I'm sorry to say this man, but from the vivid way you're describing it, it looks like you're going to have to buy a new tire.
It sucks, I know, but that's prolly your only option as of now.
                    Everything's going to be okay.

Lol abby, i know i have to buy one. I'm just sharing an experience. I'm gonna try and go sherlock holmes on my neighbors, and when I find the person, they're gonna get theirs. My family has been in the neighborhood since the very beginning, and has never had problems with this shit. Everyone parks in the guest spots, as almost everyone has more than one vehicle. It really ticks me off at how some people think that they control the neighborhood (now I know you could say that they think the same of I), however, I have always given back to the neighborhood, and this is the payback I receive. I help a lot of neighbors out with their backyards, cars, etc..
