while not a huge fan of the latest star wars episodes (I-III) they do have some pretty sick sound effects. Boba fett's crazy space mine things come to mind. /nerd

Most of the rest of that movie had horrible sound (the dubbed in XR75), but the Terminator 2000 arm/swords sounded pretty good.

Polar express - when the train first comes down the street, everything around the room shakes, the low rumble of the train and the marbles spilling on the floor

Avatar - the explosions when they take out the home tree made me jump

I robot - the tunnel chase and the human in danger scene at the storage boxes

Star wars III - the first 5 minutes is awesome

master and commander, cannon fire from all different directions
