My business partner is in the movie, one of the secondary leads, light skinned black guy plying a bad guy or something...but regardless, he said the movie was decent for an M. Night movie, I've yet to see it though.

I went to the premier at midnight this past Thursday.
I enjoyed the flick but I also enjoyed the series.

The only thing I have to say bad about it is the goddamn 3D!

I am so over it!
Every fucking movie coming out lately has to have it.

I hope its just a fad that dies back out or trickles down to just animated films.

Never watched or heard about the series before the movie - thought about seeing it but after reading that review, I won't waste my money. I will most likely netflix or redbox it in the end...

Movie is terrible. I knew nothing aout the series. I just thought I was going to watch some kid kick ass and control all the elements to do so. I walk into the theater and there was a ton of kids and I knew immediately I was duped. I think I only saw 2 people die and there was no nudity.....lame!

Yeah, funny how Signs was so well received when it came out; I think people were just giving him the benefit of the doubt on that one. I just wanted my two hours back.

This HAS to have been his last chance though. I can't comment on it directly since I haven't seen it, but it's looking like another bomb so far. Doubt the studios are going to want to let him play with their money anymore after this, but who knows? Maybe he's just a better salesman than writer/director.
