Are you implying that he wasn't doing anything to garner the attention of law enforcement and subsequently be arrested only because he was black and used public transportation?

I don't know the whole story but apparently some fight broke out between him & his friends and a group of other guys on a bart train. All suspects were held down and handcuffed, nobody had any weapons or drugs in their possession. And apparently heresay is that another cop was calling Grant a "bitch ass nigga" multiple times you can hear the recording from someones phone saying "you ain't nothing but a bitch ass nigga" more than once.
I just heard today that one of the deceased friends or maybe even the deceased, I don't know, was asking for the bart police to call on the real police, cop says we are the police, suspect says your a rent a cop, blah blah blah

What I'm getting at is that a police officer has no reason to shoot, and they are not authorized to use a tazer unless they feel their life is in danger, ex: shootout or guy with a machete rushing him. These guys were on the ground unarmed in handcuffs, in a helpless position, cop shoots him, says he thought he pulled out his taser, gets involuntary manslaughter, not murder 1.

oh and I was implying if I put a beany on and grow my beard a little I could be categorized by the police as a bitch ass beaner or whatever and if i was black I'd be that bitch ass nigga that got shot by a cop who walked too

The dude resisted arrest. If he had just lain there and taken stuff up with the courts after the incident, the guy would never have been shot. But he decided to roll around like a drunken monkey and resist arrest. Actions have consequences, and in no way I am imp[lying that resisting arrest means you should get shot, but don't do dumb things and dumb things won't happen to you.

Someone could resist arrest all he wants, and the officer has the right to beat his ass to the point where he can arrest him, he doesn't have the right to kill unless his life is in danger, and it wasn't.

I see one retarded black guy rolling around the ground with 3 police officers on top of him trying to subdue him. That's resisting arrest to me, is it not?

As for officer's lives in danger, I'm sure the masses of angry, mostly black, people around them didn't make them feel any more comfortable. They wanted to get him cuffed, subdued, and out of there ASAP.

He resisted arrest, and instead of "beating his ass", Mehserle pulled his taser to subdue him, but pulled his gun. Atleast that's the story. Sad thing, and now two lives are fucked forever.

Doubtful. I'm a law abiding, legal born, tax paying US citizen. I have no criminal record, nor associate with anyone that does. Cops have no reason to stop me, let alone harass me.
Now I'm not condoning shooting the guy at all, I'm saying he put himself in that situation in the first place. He wasn't some random passerby that tripped and fell in front of a bullet. He had a record, his friends have records, and their actions are what stopped the train, and brought the Bart cops in the first place.

Did he deserve to die? No. But his decisions in life ultimately led to him to that moment.
