HTC INCREDIBLE, my best friend just got one two days ago. It is NASTY!!! Does everything and surfs the web super well. I have large hands and fingers and still can text very well. Plus you can get a program that kills all unused apps so you save battery time.

Not sure. They're still having a hard time with inventory right now. HTC has apparently undershot their estimations for demand and or parts supplies.
Droid 2 is coming out shortly as well. Maybe VZW is climbing into bed with Motorola? Not sure. But it has been phased out. They phased out the Eris as well.

The screens are hard to get (OLED) because only Samsung and LG make them, and they are rationing the production for their own smartphones to come out by Xmas.
PS a friend of mine got a Motorola Droid for free on Saturday because everybody wants the new Droid X.

I got the HTC evo, switched from the iphone. I was a little reluctant to trust sprint's service, but so far so good. and the phone is amazing.

I would stick wtih Motorola. I dont like that Sense bullshit at all. Or Motoblur.
And the bricking thing is not really an issue. It doesnt really brick. Its just a trigger to detect non OEM approved software versions. If it detects a ROM, it flips out and you have to reload the original stuff. Im running a leaked Froyo 2.2 version now, and I love it. Huge improvement in every aspect compared to Eclair. <--Droid 1

if you can root i recommend. I have a droid rooted running android 2.2 with a custom rom by pete called bugless beast. its running an overclocked kernel at 1.2Ghz, and my battery last roughly 30 hours with use including web surfing. low voltage kernels are what you wanna run if you want good battery lifeOriginally posted by george gravesComment
