    Question for people who know northern Italy

    Im looking for this type of cheese that I think is from near milan. Its soft and sweet like cream cheese and the traditional way of eating it is with pesto on top. Any ideas?

        Mozzarella is dirty southern italians. Rome is too far south too. This is piedmont area I believe.

            I'm thinking Mascarpone. That's the closest thing I can think of that's found in Lombardia.
