After having met you, Luke, this makes perfect sense.

I have broke my leg in three places before and had to be off it for 7-9 months. I am not saying I am there with you. I just know what it is like to want to do something and be held back. I ride BMX and it was REALLY tough the first 6 months...I started pedaling around after that.

I was wondering if you lost it above or below the knee?

I think wood grain, then every 10/31 you can be a pirate!

BTW your user name is the tits!

Maybe one of you cool cats can hook me up. I can send my socket to you for the work to be done. I wouldn't mind a nice discount :)

So Farbin maybe it wasn't clear but my femur was completely in two pieces. Here is the XRay. The white rectangle was a plate I had put in back when I 6 or so? Yeah it's intense. The other is me enjoying life at Northwest Historics. And the last is my good friend's 1983 2CV6.

    All cell pics... sorry

The seam would be better suited on the inseam, inner thigh region.

im the designer for a sign shop.

a vinyl wrap would be a piece of cake. anything you wanted can be printed and laminated for longevity. dont expect anything less than $150 though. they would put the seam at the back.

I look up to you. There is a drive that all of us "able-bodied" or "complete" people should at least strive for. Hat's off to you, and thanks for showing us slackers how it is.

I had my first surgery at 18 monthes, and one every year after until I was 11. On 5-16-2006 I had my leg amuptated because since I was 4 my knee and ankle were fused (didn't bend AT ALL). The growth plate of my leg had also closed... so it wasn't going to grow much more.

And here I am today.. soon to be a sophomore in high school. Ive wrestled on the school wrestling team, this year I did swim, and I ride my bike a hell of alot (for a kid).

Not to pry, but could you explain how you broke your "half-femur"? I have often feared losing a limb, but never really spoke to anyone about it, and how long have you been using a prosthetic?
