They hit their tire, or at least there was a big black mark on the bottom of his door.

I wish I could have seen who it was... I was in the driveway when this happened, but in the trunk of my car, so I couldn't get out and see wtf fast enough.

Last Saturday, a van clipped my housemate's car door AS HE WAS GETTING OUT. Crumpled the entire door, almost tore the hinge out of the body, tweaked the frame, and crumpled the fender. Sped off.

Cops basically said "well you guys didn't get any sort of license plate #, so even if we find a white van with damage on its front right, they could just say that happened somewhere else. Sucks to be you, we're leaving"
