    Bar Project

I am building a bar with my friend. It has a kegorator, a wine rack, and will have a shelf for liquor.
We built the thing out of almost all red wood. he has a small place in SF with his girl friend so it had to be nice (for the girl friend), and fit in a small space.
The cool thing about it is that it is built out of units. Ones all the hoses and lines are disconnected you can just lift the table part of it right off the kegorator and the wine rack will be on wheels so it just slides out of its storage aria.
here are some pictures of the bar as it sits now. It should be done in a few weeks. I will add some more pictures then.

^That is the unit the wine rack will slide into.

^I like how it is all notched to fit into the wall.

^Vent space and some more trim detail

    ^And the tap

    Awesome!

I'd hate to think what my alcohol consumption would do if I had three different tasty Kegs on tap at all times.

Me too. I was worried about that seal on the lid, can you insulate the bottom side of that wood door to promote the "chill" staying inside? Also, I thought you'd mounted the fridge sideways, which does not work so well with most fridges, but it looks like you moved the compressor assy.

Deutschman, just from friendly advice if you havent already planned for this. I have a kegerator in my bar as well. You need to get cold air blowing up the beer tower to keep the lines and tap cool. All bars have this. Send me a PM with your phone and ill call you with the details. chucker

Get some stainless or a shit ton of lacquer for that bar top. It'll save you gents plenty of headache.

funny story on that, and i am not 100% sure on the details, but it goes something like this. my friend ordered it off some guy who was selling it on a veer brewing forum for around $200-$300. he had it insured when he sent it as well. the tower never showed up so he contacted ups and had them send him the insurance money. a few weeks later the tower did show up anyways. so he got the tower and his money back. free tower!

done and done. it's all being lacquered up. we spent so much time sanding that thing down and will probably sand it again so we want to be able to see the wood. thanks for the tip.

i think it should work fine. it seals up very well and there is a good amount of wait coming down on the seal from the lid. if it does not work well we will figure something out. the fridge is right side up. it is just a small fridge.

                  cheers guys!

                      That tap is siiiiick!

I helped my friend build this bar in his home about two years ago. Obviously I didn't do the granite, but we did the stone, shelving, etc. You can't see the stainless tap tower coming out (it's on the left). I has a kegerator, drawer dishwasher, ice-maker, and a 3-zone winecooler/refrigerator.

12 different types of gin, what up!? Lol

sorry about the shitty iPhone pic

Just read that it's in a small SF flat. That's going to fit in REALLY well with the redwood and vintage brass(?) tap tower!

nice bar! that thing is pimpin.
the bar we are building is a bit smaller because of the flat it is going in. not to mention we are building it on a cooks pay which is next to nothing when you first start like we are.
thanks for all the positive remarks guys!
