          Alright here we go.

Every night at 2AM PST the server backups up everything to an external disk array, optimizes the tables, and prunes any stuck php-cgi process.

During the backup, for some reason it kept created the .sql file (and not quitting) IE it was just filling up a file with garage data. After it maxed out my 750GB backup array it got stuck, which then filled up the operating system array with log information.. This maxed out all the hard drives and crashed the server.

Checking facebook I noticed the site was down (i'm not on it very much due to work, etc) I was able to get into the server and clear out the space. However during the crash it damaged several required database tables that VBulletin requires to run. So after I went through those and repaired them, we are back to normal.

I've disabled the backup script for now so I can look at it tonight when it runs, see what the hell it did.

          Ight?
          Que?

The server shuts down and backs itself up at around 2am PST (5am EST). So its normal.
