    Taking the day off. ;-)

Here's what the "automated vacation reply" says on my company email.

"Monday August 30th is my 48th birthday. Therefore you can either meet me at the strip club (just kidding) or wait until tomorrow to get a reply.

All paid orders have been shipped and there's no back log on orders or production. Thanks for your understanding.

    Lee"

And here's what's coming up for e36 M3 owners. The same caliper to be used on 378x32mm e92 M3 kits. Final test fit before sending to anodizing. The disc is a used unit for tes-fitting purpose only. 355x32mm discs and 6 pots AP Racing calipers. Each caliper costs as much as an e30 kit... The rotors will have slotted mounting points for the floating system. A few sets were custom ordered and I will apply the design to my own production.

    Well then Happy Birthday.

That E36 setup looks like it will stop on a dime and those calipers are sexy.

Wilwood is currently taking a worng turn by changing production of many of their calipers, such as the Superlite, which should be extended to others like te SL6R and SL4R. Basically, they are ditching the croosver tube, drilling fluid passages in the body, and fitting four (4) bleeders. Yup. Mickey Mouse style. Therefore I am seeking for alternate solutions. And AP Racing came to mind after developping some custom products. I will probably use an AP Racing caliper on e30 and e30 M3 kits. But don't expect the same price. I am working with Wilwood to purchase whatever remains from the old inventory. Then goodbye Wilwood, hello AP Racing. Meaning if you want to purchase cheap Massive kits with old style calipers, then there are a few weeks/months left, then it's over. ;-(

Don't worry about my 48 years. I go out with my 24 year old buddies and chicks don't make a difference. I just have more self assurance ;-)

As for Wilwood, instead of stocking 4 calipers (front mounting, rear mounting, left, right), they only stock one. They only make one caliper too, and distributors save up in inventory. Great for them. Congratulations. But no benefit for the end buyer, except perhaps a reduction of $10 per caliper. But 2 x $10 saving on a whole kit means nothing when you spent $1000+... What the end buyer wants is a tool that is fit for the duty, not a toy. I had long talks with several Wilwood reps. And they don't get it.

My last email with them mentionned that I am so close to crossing over to AP Racing.

I'm going to need a better harness. Cant wait to see how fast this would stop a 5lug e30.
