what did they do exactly that caused it. not some hearsay what exactly caused it? and if they stop offshore drilling please tell me where the oil should come from? i would love to see your cheaper, safer, better option.

I have no idea what they did to cause it, but my guess is that someone made a mistake that caused a fire or explosion. I'm just saying that the oil industry seems to be fucking up a lot lately, considering the consequences I think it might be good if they were a bit more careful. If they have no good plan to stop a well if it starts gushing into the ocean they might want to think about trying to figure it out.
