My Subwoofer Build

So just finished building the box for my new subwoofer. It's a Dayton Quattro 8 inch subwoofer. It cost me about $130 for it all. Hahaha the sheet of MDF cost more then the sub. For $39 it cant be beat.

So the box is 1.5 cubic feet with a 3 inch PVC port tube. The port is 8 inches long. For you speaker nerds, the -3db drop off (32hz) is 3hz below the sub's lowest frequency. It's great.

I didn't take any pics of the build. But all in all, I am currently the proudest 15 year old in town!

You should go buy some tabs, throw a rave and invite all the neighborhood kids, then sell said tabs to said neighborhood kids at a large markup. Making great profits and immensly increasing your popularity.

Haha seriously this is like the third song I played. I am extremely stoked about this. Anyways yeah I showed my Mom the video later and when she saw it in person all she did was complain that she can feel it in the living room. Also to note amp is only at 1/3 power

Oh and FYI I am just running this off a Technics Dolby surround amp my Mum found at Goodwill. It was $30 but is really nice. It even has a built in fan :) The amp is also only at roughly 1/3 power here, and playing only the left channel, as I was in a rush last night and plugged the sub into the left jacks for speaker #2. This way I can turn it off so my parents can t complain. Hahaha.

But I seriously underestimated the size of this thing, 1.5 cubic feet is big for an 8.
