It's funny, I clearly remember raving to my friends about the first Halo and them saying whatever. Few months later it's better than sliced bread. I was ok at the first one, sucked at the second one, and barely played the third.

The campaign in Halo 1 was fun on the hardest difficulty.

They whored the ever living hell out of the Halo series. The only decent one was the first.

Interestingly enough I remember Bungie was originally developing HALO solely for mac before Microsoft bought them. I had an older Powerpc and one of the first iMacs and they were one of the only companies that developed decent mac games.

I agree with you on milking the shit out of it. But Call of duty has 6 titles and is currently releasing the 7th titled "black ops". The only one that is any good is MW2 and that one still fucking blows. Who wants to play a game where everyone camps and is rewarded for losing?

Everyone is just hating on Halo because it has been on top since it's release and has taken selling records no game can manage to match. After 3 years of it's release H3 is still the most played game. Reach will still out sell and so will Halo 4. Yes there is a H4 in the works, it follows the same FPS as the first three.

I am still awaiting a movie, I think if they get the right people and let bungie do the story line it would be awesome. But that is just a undying fan speaking.

These games are fun to do one summer when you have nothing going on(I got hooked on counter strike once). But WAY too many people get sucked into them.

I know it sounds like a cliche - but your literally wasting your life playing these games. You'll never get that time back, and you'll have nothing to show for it when you're done.
