A friend flew Singapore first class to Tokyo from SFO last year. He MMSed me a couple pictures from the "suite" he was in. Fucking ridic, but should be for $22k r/t. They were serving Dom '97. He said he put down three bottles... and one glass of a fourth for spite lol.

PDX isn't a major hub, so just go with whatever is cheapest and convenient.

I'm also convinced that PDX is the nicest airport in the US. Get there early and enjoy a few beers and one of the many local microbrew pubs :).

Yeah. You can't touch a first class trans-Pacific flight on Singapore for less than ~$18,000.

Where are you located? Your airlines of choice should be based on what hubs for which airlines are closest to you. For instance the best out of hartford is United because the fly the mainline flights (for united its any three digit flight #) out of that location.

His closest airport is PDX, which isn't a major hub for anything.

Whatever airline is the cheapest to get me to my destination.

I've flown Southwest, Continental, Delta, American Airlines.

Southwest or Delta mainly. Continental if we're going West. We try to stay away from American.
