Help me find some shoes (for my feet) ...

R3v, based on the demographic of the site, I figure there are some people with some knowledge on this subject. Pictures below are my curent pair of Vans, obviously beat to shit after 4 or 5 years use. One of them has a hole and since wet season is coming up, it's time to get new ones. I don't know what model or style they are.

I'm looking for something similar to replace them, in black, gray, or beige, but it seems Vans doesn't make anything like them anymore. I'd like to maintain the same look, without any outrageous styles, logos, etc on them. Pretty plain and understated.

Anybody have any suggestions or could point me in the right direction?

Vans hasn't made shoes like that forever...

    Something like this? http://shop.vans.com/catalog/Vans/en...ml#variation-3

By the way Vans are all the hype right now, the classic "eras" are whats hot.

These are nice too - http://shop.vans.com/catalog/Vans/en...a-low-men.html

Go to somewhere like journeys or a skate shop or somewhere in the mall and try on stuff. You really cant judge what you want over the internet.

Hmm...maybe slip ons or boat shoes are the way to go haha. I'll admit that I have no sense of style.

People always chuckle when I get out of my M3 because they don't expect the driver to look homeless.

My mainstay since junior high. I may have a few other pairs of shoes for other stuff, but when I'm not working, these are primarily what I'm in.

those and the afforemetioned PF Flyers are crap. Good luck bro. I used to have a grey pair of vans EXACTLY like those,

Your not going to find anything with a similar feeling gel sole.

I've since migrated to DC/Vans, but not much compares

airwalk used to be ontop of their shit too, but I'd put my money on *DVS maybe. It seems that it's really hit and miss with alot of "skate" shoe type makers nowadays. best bet is just going to a couple random skate shops and just trying on anything that remotely looks to fit the same bill for comfort. - I'm always fucked cause i wear a 13, the top size of most standard available skate shoes, so if you wear a smaller size you may find a better selection

Osiris shoes tend to lean more toward similar "flat-foot" soles just like old-school "popular" (why, i don't know.) converse.

You should try Puma. They are extremely lightweight and comfortable and look very similar to those old Vans you have. I love this brand because of how lightweight their shoes are.
                $50 - $60 bucks.

I used to wear Vans then went to C1rca. I have been in Pumas for 6 years now. They a very supportive and look cool. I do like my brothers Nikes, but he spent 120 something on them. That is too much for my taste...

I'm so upset I can't wear chuck's anymore. I have bad knees and these have terrible arch support which make them worse.
