I haven't found a topic dedicated to it, so here it is.
I used to be into computer games while in middle school and high school, I started multiing with CS1.3, then continued with MoH:AA, then SOF2, then CS:S. I finished with the lifestyle in 2005 and concentrated on my studies, I graduated high school, and I'm currently in my 5th college year.
However, this summer, in between drinking and more drinking, I started playing Minesweeper a lot.
I never liked the old ones, because of the multiplayer games I always had large monitors and high resolution, and since I was lazy changing resolution all the time, those f-ing little squares were just too small to click on precisely.
With the release of the new generation Minesweeper with Windows Vista, I could maximize the board, and it really made me like the game.
So I was just passing time with it during the summer, until I came back to school, and a friend of mine said he was really into it as well. I did alright before I guess, with times averaging around 140 secs on expert, but when he said his best time was 104 secs, I couldn't let it go.
My current goal is to beat his record. I am getting better and better by the day, but I'm still 2 seconds short. Hopefully I'll have an update soon, where I can brag about my new achievements:)
I don't really do beginner and intermediate, but here are my current times:
Beginner:
6 seconds
Intermediate:
35 seconds
Expert:
106 seconds
